Raft the Calderas river 2.5 hours with 4 class rapids and beautiful waterfalls. This rafting experience is beyond just paddling whitewater, it’s a fascinating journey into the heart of Colombia’s most untouched rainforest. Ask for join groups. 

Itinerary

Day 1

WARNING: MINIMUM AGE IS 16YO. PEOPLE MUST KNOW HOW TO SWIM.

10:00 am: Our staff wiil Pick you up at your hotel or specified address
11:00 am: arrival to Playa loca in Cocorna municipality
12:30 pm: time for lunch (not included)
1:30 am: raft the magnificent Calderas river for 2.5 hours
2:15 pm: time for snacks and get fun in the river
5:30 pm: finish the adventure in Calderas bridge
7:30 pm: arrival to your hotel or specified address
(We can start in the morning at 7am for finishing earlier)

    My sister and I went to Medellin and after visiting all the local spots, we wanted to find an adventure. So I went to my trusted TripAdvisor and came across Ecoventure. We booked the all day tour with ATVs, paragliding and water rapids. Julian picked us up at 8:30am and stayed with us the entire day until driving us home at 9pm. It was an experience of a lifetime! First it was the ATV which was cool and scenic. Next we went paragliding which was a rush and the views were unreal. Then we stopped for lunch at this amazing restaurant on the cliff and were met by the water rafting team. It was our first time doing this and we were definitely scared, but the team made us feel super safe. With a combo of calm water and going down some small waterfalls, this 3 hour trip down the river is absolutely unforgettable. On top of it all, we got a google drive of all pics and videos in the water... hilarious!! Definitely recommend this all day tour. You won’t regret it. If you are ever near Medellin, contact Ecoventure and experience Colombia the way it’s meant to be... in nature! Thanks Julian for an unforgettable day!

    We absolutely loved this rafting tour and our experience with ecoventure. Julian was amazing from the beginning, helping me figure out what would work best for our schedule and preferences. They picked us up from our hotel and we had an amazing experience the entire way. The driving in the area is crazy, so I was very happy to have an experienced driver behind the wheel ensuring we arrived safely to our adventure. The rafting trip was a perfect combination of relaxation allowing us to enjoy the beautiful scenery and sounds of the jungle with adventure and adrenaline. The rapids were nothing to be laughed at, and there is definitely the chance to fall overboard or flip, but they are far from terrifying. Bring a pair of shoes that can get comfortably wet and also allow you to walk on rocks, sunscreen and a dry pair of clothes - you’re all set!

    Amazing trip! We got to explore the Calderas River, the river is absolutely beautiful. The whole day went smooth, we got picked up from our hotel in Medellin and brought to mirador el Cocorna.From there we waited about 10 minutes for the instructors to finish preparing all the equipment. From the Mirador we drove for about 30-45 minutes to the start of our rafting tour. Our instructors were very friendly, we felt welcomed and safe throughout the whole trip. The rafting tour is both calm and thrilling fun. We even got the chance to take a dip in the river. We had fun!! Would highly recommend for anyone seeking an outdoor adventure in Medellin.
