Overview

Live the most amazing paragliding flight near to the city of Medellin. Let´s drive 1 1/4 hour until Cocorna municipality where flying zone is. Fly 10-15 minutes and enjoy the view of giant waterfalls.
After this, live a nice trip to Guatape and discover the magic of one of the most colorful towns in the world and the awesome view from the top of the Stone of Guatape.

You must know the conditions to fly depends of the weather, a cold wind or few breeze causes a less time flight. Our flight is 10-15 minutes

It is important to say the weather behavior in Cocorna canyons is very different than Medellin´s weather and it is extremely difficult to know how it will be in the time. So, we have 95% of probabilities to fly based in our flights database and experience.

Itinerary

Day 1


9:30 am: pick up at your hotel and drive 1.25 hours to paragliding zone in Cocorna
10:45 am: enjoy  10-15 minutes of an awesomen flight in the best paragliding zone. Maximim weight 280 pounds.
1:15 pm: arrival to the Guatape Stone and go upstairs until the top. Take your time to enjoy the view and landscapes. Tickets not included.
2:30 pm: arrival to Guatape town and time for Lunch (NO INCLUDED)
3:30 pm: let´s walk around Guatape and discover its history, heritage, colorful streets and parks.
5:00-5:30 pm: return to Medellin
7:15 pm- arrival to your hotel
NOTE: If the paragliding flight can not be done because bad weather, we will replace it with 1 hour boat ride.

  • Amazing day with Ecoventure

    My wife and I had an incredible trip with our guide Tomas. He was incredibly friendly and informative about the local history as we made our way to and through our destinations. The weather was perfect and set us up for an epic paragliding experience. We flew above the birds and into the clouds while learning some about the surrounding area. From there Tomas took us to lunch at a local farm in the countryside. The family was very welcoming and made every effort to work with our specific diets. Finally, climbed the rock in Guatape and enjoyed a stroll around, learning all that Tomas had to offer. By the end, we felt he was just as much a friend to us. This experience was unforgettable. Thank you so much for the opportunity.

  • Ecoventure - the Best!

    My daughter (28) and I (65) had a wonderful two-day adventure with Julian and Ecoventure. Picked up at our apartment, our first day started with paragliding (my daughter’s idea). Up above the waterfalls outside of Cocorná, this ended up being the highlight of our trip. I felt completely safe and secure, twirling above the waterfalls among the birds. Recommended, even for those who might think this a bit scary! Then on to a hike, down through the woods to a beautiful finca (farm) nestled on the banks of Rio Guatapé. A tasty lunch, and off to the river to swim, slide and jump into the clear, clean water. Julian knows the river well, and all of the good spots to swim and dive. We slept in a beautiful place on the lake outside of Guatapé, and the next day we strolled the colorful streets of town, and climbed to the top of El Peñol to overlook the lake. On the way back Medellín, we stopped by a beautiful mirador (lookout point) to take in the mountains and valleys surrounding Medellín. The great thing about Ecoventure is that Julian loves what he does - and it shows. This is not just his business - it’s his passion. On other tours, I’ve felt like I was getting dropped off and picked up like a heard of cattle. Julian’s excitement and personal attention make all the difference. I have no trouble recommending Julian and Ecoventure to friends and family.

    The communication with Ecoventure Tour Group was solid and we were so delighted to have Esteban as our tour guide! Truly could not have asked for a better person to guide us along! This tour is for those who want to enjoy a touch of adrenaline rush while appreciating the “incredible” views of the gorgeous Colombia countryside! What an amazing day our party of 5 had! This was our first time to. Colombia and Esteban with his relaxed, kickback vibe made our day even better. He didn’t talk our ear off, but shared wonderful information about his beloved Colombia! We learned quite a bit from him. Doing the steps on the Guatapé tour was great exercise and if you are not in good health/shape it may not be for you! I suggest doing it as early as possible so less people. Beautiful view at the top! For our party of 5 we fell in love with Paragliding! Definitely have your own Go Pro or rent one from them as you will most certainly want to have the video of your Paragliding experience! It truly was fabulous! Our pilots were very experienced and friendly. They all had a lively and fun personality! Thanks to all the pilots for making us feel safe and one of the highlights of our Colombia trip! Cheers to Esteban especially and for sure will come back and feel confident with this tour group! Very very professional! Thanks for everything!
